AnnaMarieAlt enjoys a passion for writing romantic fantasy fiction, building otherworldly realms. Her two careers, the military followed by civil service, thirty-five years in all, exposed her to varied cultures, races, religions, and beliefs stateside and abroad—England, Continental Europe, the Far East, the South, North, East, West, Hawaii and Kentucky, where she now resides. This exposure granted her a rounded view of the world and a host of invaluable knowledge that she now brings to her fantasy creations.

These experiences, earning a college degree, while surviving and supporting the Women’s Liberation Movement of the ‘60s and ‘70s launched her understanding of herself as a woman and a writer. She writes to convey her myriad experiences—to share the legacy of a lifetime, acknowledging and accepting that we are all flawed humans, able to rise above our defects to establish a better world for all.

For thirty-five years AnnaMarie rode and delighted in horses and the three-phase event competition. Her greatest love was her late husband—forty years spent with him. And always dogs, now and so long as she breathes, from registered German shepherds to wonderful mutts from the pound.

Life’s ambition: Fully grown, AnnaMarie wants to be just like Granny Clampett, combined with an essence of Jessica Fletcher.

"Hey, Mary, I’m enjoying the writing. You walk both sides of the fence really well. You wring every last drop of conflict out of a scene. You don’t rush your work. You take the time to develop it fully. Love what you’re doing."

"Once I got into the novel, I couldn’t put it down. Had to know what these characters did next. Had to keep reading, couldn’t stop. Some characters elicit love, hate, all at the same time, just like in the real human race. Not your normal adventure, atypical romance, a little magic unfolds. Winds these various facets together, in a fascinating way that is different, refreshing. Have to see what happens in this continuous world. Characters fleshed out, good or evil, feel like you know them, see into their heart and soul and feel what they are thinking, and why they think that way. Leaves you with a satisfied feeling, characters experiencing epiphanies, action resolved gratifyingly, some unexpectedly."

"I bought and read this book because I knew the author, thinking how am I going to tell my best friend she can’t write? Twenty pages in I had forgotten who wrote it. The conflicts, the characters are captivating. Inventive way they conclude their fights, the romance. This book is worth putting others down to read this one. Can’t wait for the rest of the series."
